Wireless Broadband

Our vendor independent partnership agreements allow us to select the best wireless products for your application. This could be WiMAX 802.16d or MIMO 200Mbps (2.5, 3.5, 5.8 or 1.9GHz) for large rollout of consumer or business internet access or 900MHz point-to-point or point-to-multipoint for mine sites.

Oceanic can perform a site survey or use a questionnaire that identifies the correct product for your needs. Within the survey we identify bandwidth requirements, distance, line-of-sight/non-line-of-sight, vegetation and environmental conditions.

We have used WiFi (802.11b/g) in outdoor application for mobile WiFi phone roaming.

Voice Services

Oceanic has fully integrated IP-PBX solution including an on-line billing platform. Customers can see their current credit level real time or an ISP can allocate credit tokens and SIP numbers for customer phones.

We use Voice-over-IP (VoIP) to terminate GSM or WiFi mobile phones. Our backhaul is typically satellite which terminates with different carriers in Australia and the USA. Low-cost outbound calling allows us to be competitive. We also terminate inbound traffic for certain countries using our carrier partners in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA.

Our VoIP service can provide Australian-based direct-in-dial numbers and can use mobile WiFi phones. The service can be totally autonomous to Telstra or Optus and has features such as Virtual PABX functions for small businesses.

Oceanic Broadband Solutions offer cost-effective business-grade Voice Over IP solutions for small businesses.

Satellite Broadband

We operate our own C-band iDirect VSAT HUBs using Asiasat 4 and New Skies 9 over South East Asia, Australia and the South Pacific Islands.

Oceanic provides a Service Level Agreement for operators who require business grade C-band performance even during heavy tropical rain. Our HUBs are located in Asiasat and New Skies Teleports in Hong Kong and Adelaide respectively.

All major carriers terminate at these datacentres including subsea cables and fibre termination from Hong Kong to Europe and USA.
Hosting is possible at the datacentres and typically there are only two internet hops from Hong Kong to the US and Europe.

Oceanic provides SCPC and private mesh VSAT links across various satellites covering the Asia Pacific region.
